Megan is a PhD candidate at the University of Kansas. She is the current Mellon Foundation/Loo Family Curatorial Assistant in European and American Art at the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, KS. Her dissertation is "After the Deluge: Contemporary Artists Engage Katrina." Megan is particularly interested in visual interpretations of trauma that can create or recreate collective or cultural identity in the wake of catastrophe.
So, this missive is a bit late, I know, but this was by far the busiest CAA I have been to in years. It was also the friendliest.
