Michael Smith is a doctoral candidate and fellow at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts and is finishing his dissertation, which explores the implications of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s philosophy for aesthetics and art. He is adjunct faculty of Art History at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, and adjunct faculty of Art History and Philosophy at Cy-Fair College, in Houston, TX. He took his Master of Fine Art in painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2006.
