CAA’s blog is finishing lively. Susan Hamburger writes: “No one likes to be asked, nor should they be asked in an interview, ‘how old are you?’ or ‘are you planning to have children?’ You know who you are.” Not to mention the colleagues who were “deployed to stalk the [interviewing] rows to unnerve those who are trying to jump ship.”

Nicholas Mirzoeff’s concluding thoughts: “it seemed like a smaller crowd than usual this year … but there were better parties than usual, like the journal of visual culture event on Thursday that has left me dehydrated all conference long … the publishing crisis did become a little more clearly visible this year with only a few presses attempting to reach anything other than the textbook market [...] the era of Big Theory is over … see you in New York.”
